Summer Fun

As soon as it started getting a little hot outside, Courtney and I took advantage of our pool. Our goal was to relax and get tan. I have pretty much reached my goal. Courtney on the other hand is still working on the tan part. But we are both enjoying it and have found that it makes the summer heat a nice thing instead of something that we dread. Here are just some fun pictures of us enjoying our summer.

I really enjoy reading, so I even find time to do it in the pool.

HELP!!!

I am really in a whole and I don't know how to get out!! You may have read in previous posts that one of my dogs is being very mean to the other! Its getting really bad!! At first we thought that it was because she was going through heat and that her system was just all out of wac! She would get over it! Well she has gone though heat twice now, and unfortunately it got worse each time! Before she would only attack while she was in heat and now it is an everyday occurrence! One minute they are playing fine together and the next Sadie is charging across the room ready to rumble! The whole scenario just makes me want to cry because you really do have to look at it from both sides!

Sadie- we got her first and it was just her me and Ran! She loved it but unfortunately was very lonely all the time, with us gone all day. So we get Sophie and problem solved, right?....WRONG!! Now Sadie has to share time and affection with this new little love. We think that this is where the jealousy started; just getting worse and worse with her growing mood swings!

Sophie- comes to a new home with a new sister and parents who love her- Everything looks great! Until she gets a beating in the back room while she sleeps for no apparent reason! Now she wont even let US pet/hold her without cowering down in fear! I have even noticed that when she is laying around the house, she will pop her head up, give a little growl, then lay back down - I think that this is her way of keeping Sadie at a distance!

UGH!! I just feel so bad for both of them! They really are good, cuddly, puppies! Any idea on how to make the fighting stop? Or, do you agree with my husband and should we just get rid of one...or both!
See what I mean!! HELP!!
they used to get along great....I don't know what happened?

I just couldn't resist with the song!

The "BIG" 2-5

In two short weeks Randy and I will be celebrating our birthdays. This is a big one for Randy because he will be turning 25 years old. This is REALLY taking a tole on him, I think he may be having a MID-mid life crisis. He looks at his hair in the mirror and thinks he is going bald. He says that this is all his life is and he just has to get used to it. In fact he says that it is pretty much all down hill from here, and to top it all off -He traded in his car for a newer fancier car(haha)

(...but he still says that he is TOO YOUNG to have kids!)

Leave a comment in honor of Randy and help him feel young again! PLEASE!!!

A lesson learned!

Last night after heading home from Wal*mart (Ran was driving) I noticed that we were being followed pretty closely by a BIG WHITE VAN. I looked in my mirror and commented to my husband that this guy needed to slow down a bit or he might hit us. WELL.... my ever so macho husband decided to show this BIG WHITE VAN who was boss, and tapped his brakes in an attempt to get the guy to back off. This didn't really work. After maybe 3 more brake checks Ran decided to simply change lanes...that's the CHRISTIAN THING TO DO right? Ran couldn't handle that...now remember...he is a macho man or Macho-Ran you might say! While Macho-Ran switches lanes and the BIG WHITE VAN passes by us macho-ran over here LAYS on the horn! I mean LAYS.. ON.. THE.. HORN!! easily a 5 second honk! The BIG WHITE VAN doesn't like this and as soon as macho-ran gets off the horn the BIG WHITE VAN slams on his breaks, gets right back behind us again. we thought that he was tailing us before!! That was nothing.. you might not have been able to walk through the two cars(if they were parked) he was so close to us now!! Macho-Ran over here says a few choice words and then seems to be OK with this "idiot" behind us. He even kinda laughs about it. Macho-Ran changes lanes, BIG WHITE VAN changes lanes. Macho-Ran speeds up, BIG WHITE VAN speeds up. we change lanes again and....I think you get the picture! Macho-Ran looks over at me and says "Call James!!!" (Ran's very large step dad) Macho-Ran had all of the sudden turned into Baby-face-Randy and needed to call in his back ups for fear of his life! Of course....James wasn't home and that's when the true panic begins......

Ran: WHO DO WE CALL NOW?
Court: maybe you shouldn't have honked! Then we wouldn't have to call anyone!
Ran: SERIOUSLY WHO DO WE CALL!!
Court: hahahahaha
Ran: WES!!
Wes: Hello...
Ran: Apparently I honked at this guy and now he is following me! James isn't home....HELP!
Wes: No Problem, where are you?
Ran: just passed Horne on brown...close to your house are you there?
Wes: Ya that gives me just enough time to put on my muscle shirt!
Ran: OK stay on the phone with me....you ll have to walk me through this...I'm freakin' out man!!

Just before we reach the corner of the street that Wes and Tara live on we notice that there are a BUNCH of cops parked right out side! Ran turns on his blinker and makes it seem as though he is going to stop and talk to the cops. BIG WHITE VAN doesn't stop at all and once again zooms right by us!

Randy learned a very valuable lesson here and I hope you did too! ~If you are ever in a jam CALL WES!! He will be ready and waiting to pull on his muscle shirt!!

In the DOG HOUSE

For those of you who didn't already know my CRAFTY husband (and dad James) built our puppies an amazing house!

It, in my opinion, was a bit large for our little yorks and for that same reason, I believe, they have been scared to go inside! We have had this amazing piece of craftsmanship for a few months now and it has only been a few times that we have seen the girls go in BUT they always come right back out!

I for one have been noticing that the weather has been a bit crazy lately with not being able to decide if it wants to be hot or cold. With that being said - in the last few weeks I have been putting the girls outside more often as it is not too HOT and not too COLD.....or so I thought!

Ran and I went on one of our INFAMOUS bike rides while leaving the girls out on the back porch. Only to return and see the two little ones shivering in the "cold". Sadie(the one that we got first) always seems to have dominance over Sophie (the baby)even though she is now a great deal smaller, and really this action shows when it comes to almost anything! I think that it is obviously displayed here as she makes Soph stand out side FREEZING! Poor baby!

They really are the cutest things and now all I have to do is work on Sadie letting Sophie in(haha)

P.S. for those of you wondering about the coincidence in Oprah having the SAME dog names as me.....it is just that.....a COINCIDENCE! Besides with Oprah it was the other way around! Sophie then Sadie! (haha) funny though!

What a weekend!

Last weekend Courtney and I had a lot of fun. We started out going on a fun bike ride with our dogs. Courtney got me this basket for valentines day, so we thought that we would try it out. I think that the dogs had a lot of fun and so did we.

Then we had a chance to go to the Renaissance Festival with my dad, Wes and Tara and Scarlet, Sasha and Jay and Steele. This was the most fun that we have had in a while. The last time that I was there was probably when I was 15 years old. It is amazing that when you are a kid you look at some of the stuff and think, "that's stupid. I would never do that." But now that life is a lot less constantly exciting and you spend more time working and studying, those little stupid things seem really fun.

This is Jacobs ladder. As you can see none of us made it very far. I think Sasha tried to do it in one long step, but still didn't make it.

Then we did the thing where you hit the scale with a hammer and a little metal thing flies up and hits a bell. We all had two chances to get it and we all hit it. Wes didn't hit the bell on his second chance but none of us were very shocked. (Just Kidding)

Court and I had a chance to spend some time together and have fun. We ate a turkey leg of course, and I became obsessed with the good corn on the cob that they had and I ate six of them. It would seem like I am from Iowa or something. We owe this great day to my dad who invited us all. Thanks dad.

After we got home, we had to clean the house, so i decided to take the chore of babysitting the dogs while Courtney cleaned up.

Honesty

Hon"es*ty\, n.
Honor; honorableness; dignity; propriety; suitableness; decency. Chaucer. The quality or state of being honest; probity; fairness and straightforwardness of conduct, speech, etc.; integrity; sincerity; truthfulness; freedom from fraud or guile.

I cannot for the life of me understand why people lie to one another. Lies only pull people apart and create voids where happiness once was. One lie or one omission of the truth can forever change a relationship and again I do not understand why a person would risk that.

In my opinion not telling someone something that may hurt them is not just a lie but also a show of disrespect! If you feel that by keeping something from someone that you are helping a situation than you are completely wrong and are doing that person a great disservice! No matter the relationship whether it be, friend to friend, mother to daughter, husband to wife, sister to sister, or simply neighbor to neighbor -
HONESTY WILL ALWAYS BE ON YOUR SIDE

Now I am not saying that things wont get bad or even change for awhile once the truth is told, but over all the truth BEING told will pull your relationship closer. In a relationship worth having arguments and fights and disagreements are going to happen. If you are up front with what is happening and look to this person for support then your relationship will grow even through these times...it has no choice but to grow. By telling the truth you are showing respect and loyalty for that person and telling them that you care about the relationship that you have and that you actually want it to grow closer. By not telling the truth or omitting parts of the truth that should be said you are cheating that relationship and that person. You are not being fair at all - you are showing them that you don't care about them and that you would rather live in secrets. Eventually you grow apart and the relationship dies.

"All I ask from you is honesty"
Through time and event this will help our love grow
Honesty brings forth the special glow
With honesty you have everything we need
Honesty is like planting a seed
And when it begins to grow
My love for you will also
~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In our time, those found in dishonesty do not die... but something within them dies. Conscience chokes, character withers, self-respect vanishes, integrity dies. ... In the vernacular, the evil is described as “cheating.” And cheating it is, for it robs virtue, it robs loyalty, it robs sacred promises, it robs self-respect, it robs truth. It involves deception. It is personal dishonesty of the worst kind, for it becomes a betrayal of the most sacred of human relationships and a denial of covenants and promises entered into before God and man. It is the sordid violation of a trust. It is a selfish casting aside of the law of God, and like other forms of dishonesty, its fruits are sorrow, bitterness, heartbroken companions, and betrayed children of god. The thirteenth Article of Faith of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints affirms that “we believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men.”
We cannot be less than honest, we cannot be less than true, we cannot be less than virtuous if we are to keep sacred the trust given us. Once it was said among our people that a man’s word was as good as his bond. Shall any of us be less reliable, less honest than our forebears?
Those who are living the principle of honesty know that the Lord does bless them. Theirs is the precious right to hold their heads in the sunlight of truth, unashamed before any man. On the other hand, if there be need for reformation in any member of this Church, let it begin where we now stand.
Brothers and sisters, the Lord requires his people to be honest. May we desire with all our hearts to be honest in all our relationships and in all the things that we do. God will help us if we seek the strength that comes from him. Sweet then will be our peace of mind and our lives. Blessed will be those with whom we live and associate. And God will bless and guide us with his loving care.
10 Reasons why Court is my World
1) The very first reason is that she is so beautiful. (Just look at her)
2) She always compliments me and builds me up, even when I think that she is making some
things up.
3) She loves little babies and will be a great mother some day.
4) She supports me 100% with life choices that I have chosen.
5) She helps me not swear by smacking me in the face for every swear word that I say. Kind of hard too. (That is why my face is always red)
6) She always surprises me by cleaning the house spotless when I come home from work, and she usually has dinner ready.
7) She is always willing to do what I want to do. She even goes out of her way to make me happy a lot of the time.
8) It doesn't take a long time for her to get dressed up when we go out. But she still looks great.
9) She is very funny. Sometimes she says stuff so funny that it makes me laugh out loud in a restaurant or public place.
10) She is very loyal to me and she shows me all the time that she is truly in love with me.
I am so lucky to have such a very pretty and very special girl as my wife. I love her so much!!!
10 reasons why Ran is my world!!
1) He is the most attractive man I have ever met in my entire life!(just look at him)
2) He reads to me every night and has even been reading me Twilight!
3) He has an amazing way of knowing when I need to talk and always listens, even when sometimes he has no idea what I'm rambling about
4)He is going to someday be an amazing daddy to our little ones. I see the way that he interacts with his siblings and it just melts my heart!
5) He is an incredibly hard worker and never complains! (even when his wife has been out of work for 2 months)
6)He is always willing to help people. I have never heard him refuse anyone if they are in need...of anything
7)He has a hysterical sense of humor and can always make me laugh! He will say the funniest things with the straightest look on his face, but then on the other hand he can always make himself laugh too :)
8) He never complains about my cooking...even when it is sometimes really not good at all
9) He wakes up at the crack of dawn every day of his life just to have time for himself. I really have no idea what he does during this time but he is so content.
10) He is the most amazing best-friend, partner, and spouse a girl could ever ask for.
I am so luck to be able to spend the rest of my life and even beyond with this man and I only hope that he knows how much he means to me!
Champs!
Last night we were able to tag along with Ran's family on a trip to Prescott. This trip was to go and see his sister Stormee compete in the state championship with the Mt View HS cheer squad! Stormee was a bit nervous about the whole thing because Xavier was there and unfortunately had beaten them at the last competition. Mt View had luck on their side this time and ended up taking first in both POM and CHEER not only that but Mt View also won the All Around! I have never seen Stormee so happy...in fact she was brought to tears after all was said and done! We really don't get to see Stormee all that much because her squad has put so much work into making this Championship happen!! (and when she is not practicing she is sleeping ;)) They Definitely worked for this one! Congratulations Ladies! You ROCK!
These pictures kinda suck because Ran forgot our camera and I had to use his phone...Thanks Ran!!
